This week started my junior year spring semester. Moving back into the apartment was extremely exciting! I got to see all my close friends and I spent most nights hanging with my best friend. We watched tv and talked about life. Living with people who share similar likes and dislikes is the best way to get through the school year. It was hard listening to people when they commented on the fact that I lived with two of my best friends from my hometown, but these girls are the ones that make this college experience complete.
This week’s classes were filled with general information about the schedules and grading systems. The introductions to my new classes are my favorite because it gives you a great overview of all that I’ll be learning in the next few months. My classes are Intro to Biology, Intro to Ecology, Wildlife Conservation, Forests and People, and Astronomy. During this time with all the political news about global warming, the Dakota Pipeline, and many other environmental topics, I feel so lucky to be learning the truth and reality that are these issues. It gives me motivation that one day I can make a change and make this world a better place for my peers and my family. Scientific research is the basis of the truth and I am overjoyed that this is the path I chose. Many of my friends are working towards goals and occupations that will help so many others and that gives me hope for all of our futures. It is a blessing that I surround myself with motivated adults that see possible solutions, instead of just accepting the issues as a defeat.
Enjoy your weekend!
