B.L.O.O.M : July 2017

My “B.L.O.O.M” series has become my favorite posts to write and share. For some of my newer readers, “B.L.O.O.M” stands for Beauty, Literature, Obsessions, Outfits, and Music. It allows me to reflect on everything I’ve been loving over the past four weeks! Let’s get started on this month’s B.L.O.O.M favorites!

•  Finding the perfect mascara has always been tough for me. I’ve tried so many brands but always ended up with dull lashes. I loved the Subversion Lash Primer (Urban Decay) under the Perversion Mascara (Urban Decay), but then I ran out of the mascara! So instead of buying another mascara, I now use the Primer with the Smashbox’s Full Exposure Mascara. This duo is my holy grail mascara! The primer is perfect with this mascara to create a more full and bolder look.

 

• During my trip in Yosemite, I picked up Wilderness Essays by John Muir. John Muir was an advocate for wilderness preservation in the United States and this book is focused on the connection between man and nature. He shares his adventures in great detail which allows you to appreciate nature in a more unique way. It’s a great read, I highly recommend if you love the outdoors!
  

  

  

 

• Once again, my monthly obsession is a food item!! My favorite snack has been The Good Bean‘s roasted Sea Salt Chickpeas. This product has the perfect amount of sea salt sprinkled on the chick peas to compliment the crunchy texture!
  

  

 

• The favorite part of my outfits recently have been my faux leather slip-ons! I got them about a year ago but it took several weeks to break them in. They go with almost every outfit; jeans, shorts, flowy pants, dresses, leggings, etc! Since I’ve broken them in, I wear them to work and they don’t hurt a bit. I got them from Nine West and they’re the perfect everyday shoe 🙂
