My Valentine’s Day Coffee

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Today has been super special, filled with so much love. I wanted to share a quick story that happened to me today.

I have my go-to coffee place on campus that I’ve been going to since the beginning of freshman year. Through my freshman year, the same women has made my usual iced coffee with a flavor shot of mocha every day. By sophomore year, she began to recognize me when I approached the register. By junior year, she knew me by my first name and she would go out of her way to make my coffee, even if she wasn’t the barista that day.

Unfortunately, my senior year schedule hasn’t allowed me to stop by my coffee place too often, but today was special. I got out of class early and decided to get a coffee. I waited in line and when I got up to the register, my coffee lady handed me my coffee that she made while I was in line. She had a huge smile on her face and she told me to have an amazing Valentine’s Day. I was shocked and overwhelmed with gratitude. I looked at her with a huge smile and told her that this made my day. This women (I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t know her first name) goes out of way to make my coffee and greet me with a smile every time I go. She is one of my favorite parts of my college experience.

That moment really inspired me & I wanted to share it! Show love, appreciation, kindness, positivity, and that’s what you’ll get back.
