Starts With You

The power of a positive mentality has been a major focus in my life for over a few years now. I wanted to share some of the basic rules I try to follow when I’m focusing on my mentality when handling situations.

Shaping your mentality doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be happy all the time. It’s a powerful tool that allows you to let the bad enter your life and then helps you find ways move on from it. It’s a way to accept life’s challenges and grow from that experience. If you failed an exam or feel let down, your mind is already filled with ways to conquer those obstacles. The only thing getting in the way of achieving a strong positive mentality is yourself.

You have to believe that you can do it, the power comes from within you. You can be a stronger version of yourself, yet it’s easier said than done, but it’s well worth the effort. Take a deep breath, sit back from the situation, and brainstorm what your options are. Some people are quick decision makers who don’t even give it a second thought. I’m an over thinker and I had to come up with ways to feel more at ease with my choices. When you become comfortable with how you handle problems, you’ll gain more confidence in your decisions. It can take weeks or even months to figure out how to handle certain situations the right way; it’s been over year for me and I’m still working on myself. But who has the right to tell you the difference between the right way and the wrong way? Whichever strategy makes you feel better, use it.
