A Day in the Life // College Edition

Alarm goes off at 6:30am. I roll over, reach for my phone, scroll through social media, check some emails, and finally get myself out of bed. I head downstairs for breakfast. I get the pot of coffee brewing and whip up an easy breakfast. Breakfasts will vary on what time I wake up in the morning. I’ll eat cereal or toast with peanut butter and banana on early mornings or I’ll make eggs and toast on my later mornings. Today I ate cereal and a banana with peanut butter! You can never go wrong with peanut butter.

I head back upstairs and brush my teeth. I’ll sit at my desk and review my schedule for the day. This week is busy with exams so today I’m going to class and studying….boring.

I decided to walk to campus in the 50 degrees and sunny weather! The walk is about 15 minutes and my classroom is in the first building as you walk onto campus – convenient. Statistics is the only class I have today, which leaves me with a lot of free-time. Class ends and the next to-do on my schedule is the gym.

I do a quick 45-minute workout and head on over to my campus center to get my favorite salad! It has peppers, onions, corn, beans, chicken, avocado, and some balsamic dressing. I would eat this every day if I could.

After lunch, I walk back home to up all the fresh air and the wonderful scenery. My time at home is cut short because I have to head back to campus for a Statistics exam review.

I got a good amount of studying in after the review session, which means it was time to take a much-needed break and watch The Bachelor with my roommates. Hanging with my friends after a long, stressful day is the perfect way to wind-down. After the show, I wash my face and head to bed!

Today wasn’t the most exciting day, but it’s reality. Not every day as a student can be relaxing and stress-free. Even as a graduating senior, my schedule is still full of decently hard classes that take up a lot of my free time. When I do get my work done, it feels even more rewarding to go out and do things for myself or with friends!

What’s your favorite part of coming home after a long day of school/work?

Thanks for reading 🙂

Stay rad,

Caroline Abigail
