Happy Thursday everyone! 😊
As most of you know, I recently graduated from UMass Amherst. Post-grad life is an exciting time to unwind from classes, spend time with family, and start thinking about the future.
Writing for the blog and working at my part-time job has been fun, yet I’ve had a hard time with my confidence in the future.
Life always works out, especially when you put in your best effort! I’ve been applying to jobs and it’s been a waiting game. It’s a process that makes it easy to doubt yourself. For the most part, I know that I will find a full-time job, whether it’s next month, in seven months, or maybe a bit longer – it will happen.
There are many people who are in the same spot I’m in (I know I can’t compare myself to others), and that’s what happens when you graduate from college. It’s not all about immediate success, even when you’re doing the most you can. That’s something I have to remind myself. It’s definitely nice to graduate college and start at your new full-time job, but that doesn’t happen for everyone! For me, I’ve been applying while narrowing which Environmental fields interest me the most. We’re on our own path in this life. How you handle your journey is the most important. I’m not saying it will always be easy – just don’t bring yourself down in the process.
From a girl who has applied to 10 jobs, and only heard back from five (not offering me an interview), I can tell you that the hard work will soon pay off.
What are your plans for the summer?
Thanks for reading 🙂
Stay rad,
Caroline Abigail

Stay positive! Post-grad is such a weird time in between ending school and trying to find a job. My career field is pretty hard to break into but if it makes you feel any better…I applied to more than 100 places (I kept track lol) before finally getting my first job. I’m certain it won’t take that many attempts for you, but enjoy this extra time you have before life starts getting busy again!

Good luck in the job search! I am dreading having to do that once I have returned from my holiday. At least you have your part-time job to hold you over for now. xx
