See You Soon

I’ve been sharing my life through Beyond This Fence for two years now – all 168 posts with 20,000 views – sharing my monthly favorites, travels, thrifting hauls, and more!

Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed. Life is a bit crazy right now and I have responsibilities that need attention. I haven’t been giving myself, my family, my friends, and this blog 100%. I now work a full-time job, which has affected how I spark my inspiration for my blog.

Not necessarily in a bad way, I just need to dedicate my time and attention to learning what makes this transition into being an ‘adult’ an easy one – haha! I don’t have the free-time like I did in college or with my part-time job. When I have free time, I’m either spending it with my family, friends, or my boyfriend. I’ve felt the pressure of needing to post on my Instagram or on the blog to stay relevant. I enjoy living in the moment, not missing out on the night to see my best friend, or get dinner with my sister, just so I can write-up a blog post. I can blame my time management and motivation on that one! The pressure to stay consistent hasn’t been great on my mental health and self-image. I need a break to focus on myself and the goals for which I’m reaching. I compare myself to all the bloggers that successfully post one or more times a week, with flawless Instagram pictures on their feed. Trust me, I admire all of you who can do it! That is one incredible feat!ย ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

When I get into the groove of balancing the important parts of my life, I’ll learn to incorporate my passion for my blog back in. I would never want to give up blogging entirely, I just need to take a step back and approach one thing at a time. I hope you all understand where I’m coming from, as I am going to stop blogging in the short-term. You are a huge part of my life, and I appreciate all the love and support from each and every one of you. I won’t be gone forever!

If you’ve ever gone through an inspiration shortage like this, leave a comment below. ๐Ÿ’›

Stay rad,

Caroline Abigail

  1. It’s OK to take a break and place your time and focus where it needs to be. When you’re ready and able to blog again, you will. I wish you well in life, in your new job, in all that you do. Most important are the people you love and to be happy.
